Toplumsal hizmet çalışmaları sürdürülebilir bir yapıyla, öğrencilerimizi toplumsal gerçeklik ve gereksinimlerle buluşturan, insanı merkeze alarak karşılıklı öğrenme deneyimini hedefleyecek şekilde yapılandırılmaktadır. Bu hedef çerçevesinde, ortaokul öğrencilerinin tümünü kapsayacak, sürekliliği olan yıllık ders planlarına bağlı olan bir program oluşturulmuştur.
MEF Ortaokulunun özgün programı olan ESSA (Eğitimde Sosyal Sorumluluk Anlayışı) ile öğrencilerimiz 5. sınıfta “Çocuk Hakları”, 6. sınıfta “Sürdürülebilir Çevre ve İnsan”, 7. sınıfta “Eğitimde Fırsat Eşitliği”, 8. sınıfta “Toplumsal Farkındalık” temasında sosyal sorunlar üzerine düşünmekte, tartışmakta, sorumluluk almaktadır.
Öğrencilerimiz temaya göre belirlenen STK’larla sosyal sorumluluk anlayışlarını geliştirmekte ve toplumsal hizmet çalışmalarına katılmaktadır. Uygulanan bu programla, içinde yaşadığı toplumun ve dünyanın sorunlarına karşı duyarlı, sosyal sorumluluk bilincine sahip, eylemleriyle geri dönüşüm ve sürdürülebilirlik kavramlarını örtüştüren, sorunları tespit ederek çözümüne yönelik fikir üretip eyleme geçebilen bireyler yetiştirmek amaçlanmaktadır
Community service activities are structured in a sustainable way that brings our students together with social realities and needs, and aims for a mutual learning experience by putting people at the center. Within the framework of this goal, a program that covers all middle school students and is based on continuous annual lesson plans has been created.
With ESSA (Social Responsibility Approach in Education), the unique program of MEF Middle School, our students think about, discuss and take responsibility for social problems in the themes of “Children’s Rights” in 5th grade, “Sustainable Environment and Human” in 6th grade, “Equal Opportunity in Education” in 7th grade, and “Social Awareness” in 8th grade.
Our students develop their understanding of social responsibility and participate in social service activities with CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) specified according to the theme. With this program, it is aimed to raise individuals who are sensitive to the problems of the society and the world in which they live, who have social responsibility awareness, who overlap the concepts of recycling and sustainability with their actions, who can identify problems, generate ideas for their solution and take action.
