Amaç:
Kulübümüz, birbirinden farklı konuların işlenmiş olduğu fakat her birinin arka planında felsefi bir problem olan uyaranlar üzerinde çalışır. Bu uyaranlar, uzun veya kısa metraj bir film, belgesel, karikatür vb. görsel eserler olduğu gibi; roman, hikaye, şiir, fıkra, makale gibi yazılı eserler hatta gazete haberi veya bir tweet de olabilir. İlgili verinin analiz edilip, arka planındaki felsefi açmazın tespit edilmesi üzerine, başlangıç ve geçiş soruları hazırlanarak hangi kavramlar üzerinde derinleşileceği belirlenir ve böylece felsefi sorun üzerinde tartışmanın önü açılarak kolaylaştırılması sağlanır. Bu şekilde hazırlanmış uyaran katılımcılarla paylaşılır ve düşünme süreci başlar.

Düşünme antrenmanı olarak da adlandırabileceğimiz bu yöntem ile öğrencilerimizin düzenli katılım göstermeleri sonucunda eleştirel, yaratıcı, özenli ve işbirlikçi düşünme becerilerini elde etmeleri ve hayatlarının her alanında aktif olarak kullandıkları birer kazanım haline dönüştürmeleri temel amaçtır.

Amaç: Okulumuz kurulduğu günden bu yana sayısız toplum hizmeti ve SSP çalışmalarına öncülük etmiştir.2021-2022 yılından bu yana da bu çalışmaları kulüp çatısı altında yürütmektedir.Pandemi döneminde de birçok proje üretilmiş ve bu projeler hayata geçirilmiştir.

Toplum hizmeti ve sosyal sorumluluk çalışmalarının amacı, öğrencinin zamanının ve enerjisinin içinde yaşadığı toplumun problemlerinin çözümünde kullanılmasının yanı sıra topluma hizmet uygulamalarının her aşaması titizlikle değerlendirrerek öğrencinin ilerdeki yaşantısına katkı sağlayabilmektir.Topluma hizmet uygulamaları, öğrencilere projeler boyunca elde ettikleri kazanımları düşünmeleri, tecrübelerini ve bilgilerini akranlarıyla  paylaşarak içselleştirmeleri konusunda fırsatlar sunmaktadır.Yaşantı yoluyla öğrenmeye güzel bir örnek olan aktif öğrenme ortamında, öğrenciler gerçek kişiler, gerçek kurumlar ve gerçek olaylar ile ilgilenerek, öz güven, yeterlilik, sorumluluk alabilme ve empati gibi bazı duyuşsal kazanımların farkına varırlar. Öğrenciler ilerde ihtiyaç duyacakları, yaratıcı düşünme, eleştirel düşünme, etkili iletişim kurabilme takım halinde çalışma ve problem çözme becerilerini geliştirirler.

Amaç: Çevre Kulübü’nün amacı öğrencilerimizin çevre konusundaki farkındalıklarının ve çevreye karşı sorumluluk duygularının artmasını sağlamaktır.

Bu amacımız doğrultusunda topraksız tarım etkinliklerini okul bahçesinde geliştirmek ve tanıtımını sağlamak, atık dönüştürme konusunda farkındalık kazanmak da etkinliklerimiz arasındadır.

Ayrıca sene boyunca çevre konulu proje çalışmaları hazırlamak ve bu projeler ile  ulusal ve uluslararası yarışmalara katılım sağlamak da amaçlarımız içinde yer almaktadır.

Geçmiş, bugün ve gelecek algısında tarih bilinci kazandırmak…

Amaç:
Atatürk inkılâp ve ilkelerine ve Anayasa’da ifadesini bulan Atatürk milliyetçiliğine bağlı; Türk milletinin millî, ahlâkî, insanî, manevî ve kültürel değerlerini benimseyen, koruyan ve geliştiren; ailesini, vatanını, milletini seven ve daima yüceltmeye çalışan; insan haklarına ve Anayasa’nın başlangıcındaki temel ilkelere dayanan demokratik, lâik ve sosyal bir hukuk devleti olan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ne karşı görev ve sorumluluklarını bilen ve bunları davranış hâline getirmiş yurttaşlar olarak yetiştirmek,

Beden, zihin, ahlâk, ruh ve duygu bakımlarından dengeli ve sağlıklı şekilde gelişmiş bir kişiliğe ve karaktere, hür ve bilimsel düşünme gücüne, geniş bir dünya görüşüne sahip, insan haklarına saygılı, kişilik ve teşebbüse değer veren, topluma karşı sorumluluk duyan, yapıcı, yaratıcı ve verimli kişiler olarak yetiştirmek,
İlgi, istidat ve kabiliyetlerini geliştirerek, gerekli bilgi, beceri, davranışlar ve birlikte iş görme alışkanlığı kazandırmak suretiyle hayata hazırlamak ve onların, kendilerini mutlu kılacak ve toplumun mutluluğuna katkıda bulunacak bir meslek sahibi olmalarını sağlamak,
Böylece, bir yandan Türk vatandaşlarının ve Türk toplumunun refah ve mutluluğunu artırmak; öte yandan millî birlik ve bütünlük içinde iktisadî, sosyal ve kültürel kalkınmayı desteklemek ve hızlandırmak ve nihayet Türk milletini çağdaş uygarlığın yapıcı, yaratıcı, seçkin bir ortağı yapmaktır.

Tarih kulübünün öğrencilerde kazandırılmaya çalıştığı beceriler şunlardır:
Atatürk ilke ve inkılaplarının, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin siyasi, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik gelişmesindeki yerini kavratarak öğrencilerin laik, demokratik, ulusal ve çağdaş değerleri yaşatmaya istekli olmasını sağlamak,
Geçmiş, bugün ve gelecek algısında tarih bilinci kazandırmak,
Türk tarihini ve Türk kültürünü oluşturan temel öge ve süreçleri kavratarak öğrencilerin kültürel mirasın korunması ve geliştirilmesinde sorumluluk almalarını sağlamak,
Millî kimliğin oluşumunu, bu kimliği oluşturan unsurları ve millî kimliğin korunması gerekliliğini kavratmak,

Tarih alanında araştırma yaparken tarih biliminin yöntem ve tekniklerini, tarih bilimine ait kavramları ve tarihçi becerilerini doğru kullanmalarını sağlamak,
Öğrencilerin farklı dönem, mekân ve kişilere ait toplumlar arası siyasi, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik etkileşimi analiz ederek bu etkileşimin günümüze yansımaları hakkında çıkarımlarda bulunmalarını sağlamak,
Barış, hoşgörü, karşılıklı anlayış, demokrasi ve insan hakları gibi temel değerlerin önemini kavratarak bunların korunması ve geliştirilmesi konusunda duyarlı olmalarını sağlamak,
Kendi kültür değerlerine bağlı kalarak farklı kültürlerle etkileşimde bulunabilmelerini sağlamak,
Kültür ve uygarlığın somut olan ya da olmayan mirası üzerinde tarih araştırmaları yaparak çalışkanlık, bilimsellik, sanatseverlik ve estetik değerleri kazandırmak,
Öğrencilere, tarihsel anlatıları yazılı ve sözlü ifade ederken Türk dilini doğru ve etkili kullanma becerisi kazandırmaktır.

Amaç: Türk Millî Eğitiminin genel amaç ve temel ilkelerine uygun olarak; öğrencilerin Atatürk İlke ve İnkılâplarına, Anayasanın başlangıcında ifadesini bulan Atatürk milliyetçiliğine bağlı yurttaşlar olarak Öğrencilerimizin kendine güven ve sorumluluk duygusunu geliştirmeye, eleştirel düşünebilme ve kendini ifade edebilme yeteneklerini geliştirerek, coğrafyaya ve bilimsel düşünceye ilgi ve merak uyandırma doğrultusunda gerekli donanımı kazanmalarına katkıda bulunmaktır.

MEF Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi ve MEF Okulları İş birliği ile Sokak Klinikleri Programı (“Street LawClinics Program”) Projesi

Sokak klinikleri, toplumdaki belirli kesimlere (okul, sivil toplum kuruluşları, dernekler.. vb.), halihazırda hukuk öğrenimi gören öğrenciler (“hukuk öğrencileri”) tarafından interaktif eğitim yöntemleri kullanılarak genel hukuk bilgileri verilmesidir. Yurtdışında, özellikle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde değişik örneklerine rastlanan bu faaliyet kapsamında, iki ayrı hususta sonuç alınması sağlanmaktadır: Hukuk öğrencilerinin interaktif bir şekilde öğrenim faaliyetine katılması ve yaparak öğrenmesi, hedef toplum kesiminin temel hukuk bilgileri alması ve bilinçlenmesi. Planladığımız proje kapsamında, MEF Okullarındaki öğrencilere “lise öğrencileri” hukuki bilgi aktarımı yapılması planlanmaktadır.

Proje kapsamında verilmesi planlanan hukuk bilgileri, insan hakları / temel haklar, demokratik haklar, hukukta uyuşmazlık çözüm yöntemleri, avukata başvurma, medeni hukuk ve ceza hukuku, iş hukuku, aile hukuku, tüketici hukuku gibi alanlara ilişkin olup, toplumdaki bireylerin günlük hayatlarında karşılaşacakları hukuki problemlere dair bilinç oluşturmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu anlamda verilen bilgiler bir nevi “ilk yardım paketi” mahiyeti taşır. Öyle ki bilgi alan kişiler (lise öğrencileri)öğrendikleri sayesinde problemle karşılaştıklarında çoğunlukla ilk müdahaleyi yapabilirler, sıcak olay anında daha sonra gerekli olabilecek bilgi ve belgeleri toplamak noktasında daha bilinçli olurlar, ne var ki problemin derinlemesine çözümü için profesyonel destek alınması zorunlu olabilir. Tekrar vurgulanmak gerekirse maksat sıcak hukuki olay anının şok etkisinin giderilmesidir.

Objective

Our club works on stimuli in which different topics are covered but each of them has a philosophical problem in the background. These stimuli can be visual works such as a long or short film, documentary, cartoon, etc., or written works such as a novel, story, poem, joke, article, or even a newspaper article or a tweet. After the relevant data is analysed and the philosophical dilemma in the background is identified, initial and transition questions are prepared to determine which concepts will be deepened on, thus facilitating the discussion on the philosophical problem. The stimulus prepared in this way is shared with the participants and the thinking process begins.

The main aim of this method, which we can also call thinking training, is for our students to acquire critical, creative, attentive and collaborative thinking skills as a result of their regular participation and to transform them into acquisitions that they actively use in all areas of their lives.

Objective: Our school has pioneered countless community service and SSP activities since its establishment. Since 2021-2022, it has been carrying out these activities under the roof of the club. During the pandemic period, many projects were produced and these projects were implemented.

The aim of community service and social responsibility studies is to use the student’s time and energy to solve the problems of the society in which he / she lives, as well as to contribute to the student’s future life by carefully evaluating every stage of community service practices. Community service practices provide opportunities for students to think about the gains they have achieved during the projects and to internalise their experiences and knowledge by sharing them with their peers. In an active learning environment, which is a good example of learning through experience, students become aware of some affective gains such as self-confidence, competence, responsibility and empathy by dealing with real people, real institutions and real events. Students develop creative thinking, critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork and problem solving skills that they will need in the future.

Objective: The aim of the Environment Club is to increase our students’ awareness of the environment and their sense of responsibility towards the environment.

In line with this aim, our activities include developing and promoting soilless agriculture activities in the school garden and raising awareness about waste recycling.

In addition, our aim is to prepare environmental projects throughout the year and to participate in national and international competitions with these projects.

Objective:

To raise citizens who are loyal to Atatürk’s revolutions and principles and Atatürk’s nationalism as expressed in the Constitution; who adopt, protect and develop the national, moral, humanitarian, spiritual and cultural values of the Turkish nation; who love their family, homeland and nation and always strive to glorify them; who know their duties and responsibilities towards the Republic of Turkey, which is a democratic, secular and social state of law based on human rights and the fundamental principles at the beginning of the Constitution, and who have made them into behaviour,

To educate students as constructive, creative and productive individuals who have a balanced and healthily developed personality and character in terms of body, mind, morals, spirit and emotions, who have the power of free and scientific thinking, who have a broad world view, who respect human rights, who value personality and enterprise, who feel responsibility towards society,

To prepare them for life by developing their interests, talents and abilities, by providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, behaviours and the habit of working together, and to ensure that they have a profession that will make them happy and contribute to the happiness of society,

Thus, on the one hand, to increase the welfare and happiness of Turkish citizens and Turkish society; on the other hand, to support and accelerate economic, social and cultural development within national unity and integrity, and finally to make the Turkish nation a constructive, creative and distinguished partner of contemporary civilisation.

The skills that the History Club tries to help students acquire are as follows:

To ensure that students are willing to keep secular, democratic, national and contemporary values alive by comprehending the place of Atatürk’s principles and reforms in the political, social, cultural and economic development of the Republic of Turkey,

To gain awareness of history in the past, present and future perception,

To ensure that students take responsibility for the protection and development of cultural heritage by comprehending the basic elements and processes that make up Turkish history and Turkish culture,

To comprehend the formation of national identity, the elements that make up this identity and the necessity of protecting national identity,

Street Law Clinics Programme (“Street LawClinics Programme”) Project in cooperation with MEF University Faculty of Law and MEF Schools

Street clinics are the provision of general legal information to certain segments of society (schools, non-governmental organisations, associations, etc.) by students currently studying law (“law students”) using interactive educational methods. Within the scope of this activity, which has various examples abroad, especially in the United States of America, two different results are achieved: Law students participating in an interactive learning activity and learning by doing, and the target society receiving basic legal information and raising awareness. Within the scope of the project we are planning, it is planned to provide legal information to “high school students” at MEF Schools.

The legal information planned to be given within the scope of the project is related to areas such as human rights / fundamental rights, democratic rights, dispute resolution methods in law, applying to a lawyer, civil law and criminal law, labour law, family law, consumer law, and aims to raise awareness about the legal problems that individuals in society will encounter in their daily lives. In this sense, the information provided is a kind of “first aid package”. In fact, thanks to what they have learnt, the recipients of the information (high school students) can often make the first intervention when they encounter a problem, they will be more conscious about collecting information and documents that may be necessary later in the event of a hot incident, however, it may be necessary to seek professional support for the in-depth solution of the problem. Again, it should be emphasised that the aim is to remove the shock effect of the hot legal incident.
