MEF Okullarında; ders programlarından ayrı olarak, öğrencilerin çok yönlü gelişimlerini sağlamak amacıyla eğitsel etkinlikler programı uygulanır.

Amacı:

a) Öğrencilere bilimsel, toplumsal, sanatsal, kültürel, zihinsel, sportif, psikolojik ve el becerileri alanlarında kendilerini deneme fırsatı vererek; bireysel yeteneklerini ve ilgilerini tanımalarına yaratıcılıklarını açığa çıkarmalarına ve bunları kullanarak geliştirmelerine yardımcı olmak,

b) Öğrencilerin paylaşımcı, katılımcı, demokratik, başkalarının haklarına saygılı olma duyguları ile sevgi, dostluk ve yardımlaşma bağlarını güçlendirerek grup çalışmalarında yer alma, ortak çalışmalara katılabilme özelliklerini geliştirmek, özgüven duygularını artırmak,

c) Öğrencilere, bir işe başlama ve onu sonuçlandırma alışkanlığı kazandırmak; karşılaştıkları problemleri çözme, yaptıkları işlere ve yaşadıkları ortamlara özgünlük katabilme becerilerini geliştirmek hedeflenir.

Bu hedeflere ulaşmak için öğrencilere beş farklı alanda eğitsel etkinlik seçeneği sunulmaktadır.

Bu alanlar;

   a) Bilim ve Teknoloji,

   b) Kültür,

   c) Plastik Sanatlar,

   d) Müzik ve Performans Sanatları,

   e) Spor, alanlarıdır.

MEF İlkokulunda öğrenciler, etkinlik yapılanmasında 2 gruba ayrılırlar:
a) 1 ve 2. sınıflar grubu: Haftada 4 gün birer ders saati eğitsel etkinliklere giderler.
b) 3 ve 4. sınıflar grubu: Haftada 2 gün, birer ders saati, 1 gün ise 2 ders saati eğitsel etkinliklere giderler.
Öğrenciler, 4 döneme ayrılan öğretim yılı içinde dönem başlarında olmak üzere 2 kez etkinlik seçimi yaparlar. Bu seçimlerde devam ettikleri etkinliklerden yıllık olanları değiştirmezler. Dönemlik etkinliklerden değişiklik yapmak istedikleri etkinlikleri tercih döneminde değiştirebilirler. Bu seçimlerde, etkinlik öğretmenleri de öğrencileri yönlendirirler.

Öğrencilere, öğretim yılı içinde etkinlik çalışmalarını sergileme fırsatı verilir. Örneğin; sportif yarışmalar, ulusal törenler, Yıl Sonu Şenlikleri, plastik sanatlar sergileri, tiyatro sunumları, proje sergileri ve panolar bunlardan bazılardır.

Öğrenciler eğitsel etkinliklere severek ve isteyerek katılmakta ve çok özgün çalışmalar ortaya çıkarmaktadırlar.

At MEF Schools, apart from the curriculum, an educational activities program is implemented to ensure the all-round development of students.

Objectives

a) To allow students to try themselves in scientific, social, artistic, cultural, mental, sportive, psychological, and handicraft fields; to help them recognize their talents and interests, to reveal their creativity, and to develop them by using them,

b) To strengthen students’ feelings of sharing, participation, democracy, respect for the rights of others and their bonds of love, friendship, and cooperation, to develop their ability to take part in group work, participate in joint work, and increase their sense of self-confidence,

c) To give students the habit of starting and finalizing a task; to develop their ability to solve the problems they encounter, and to add originality to their work and the environments they live in.

To achieve these goals, students are offered a choice of educational activities in five different areas.

These areas are:

   a) Science and Technology,

   b) Culture,

   c) Plastic Arts,

   d) Music and Performing Arts,

   e) Sports.

At MEF Primary School, students are divided into two groups in terms of activity organization: a) 1st and 2nd graders: They attend educational activities for one class hour 4 days a week. b) 3rd and 4th grade group: Students attend educational activities 2 days a week for one class hour and 1 day for 2 class hours. Students choose activities twice at the beginning of each semester during the school year, which is divided into 4 semesters. In these choices, they do not change the annual activities they continue. They can change the activities they want to change from the semester activities during the preference period. Activity teachers also guide students in these choices.

Students are allowed to exhibit their activity work during the school year. For example, sports competitions, national ceremonies, end-of-year festivals, plastic arts exhibitions, theater presentations, project exhibitions, and panels are some examples.

Students willingly and enthusiastically participate in educational activities and produce very original works.
